Description

 Dating from the late 1800s to the early 1900s, these antique marmalade jars are great for use as a small vase, holding utensils when entertaining, toothbrushes or Q-tips in the bathroom, or crayons and markers in a playroom.

Each pot is handmade, found in the UK, and at least one hundred years old. These jars originally contained marmalade and would have been sealed with greaseproof paper that was tied around the top.

    • The outside of the jars are a mix of patterns; We will choose a beautiful one for your collection

    • Maker’s stamps such as “Not Genuine Unless Bearing Wm. P. Hartley’s Label” , “Liverpool”, and “London” are found on SOME of the bottoms

    • Jars vary in warm and cool creamy color tones

    • Crocks show signs of wear consistent with age.. There are chips and hairline cracks on some.. but that’s the beauty of these jars…that were dug up and saved! 

    • Each piece has character marks, small chips, discolorations, and crazing

  • Measure approximately 5.25” H x 3.75” W, with a 3.25” W opening.
